Sweetgrass is braided and burned smudged during various Native American ceremonies as an incense, it has a distinct sweet scent and can also be grown around your home. Sweetgrass is also called Vanilla Grass, Seneca Grass, Buffalo Grass, Holy Grass, Zebrovka, The Place Where Bison s Graze. It is also referred to as The Hair of Our Mother The Earth and The Grass That Never Dies. It is considered sacred and to have spiritural medicinal powers by some.
